Road Closure: Penn Street West of Herky Street

Beginning Monday, April 15, 2024, Penn Street will be closed at from Herky Street to James Avenue. The closure, to allow Peterson Contractors, Inc, to completely reconstruct the roadway, is expected to last through the summer.

Traffic will be detoured using James Avenue, 270th Street, Oakdale Boulevard, Park Road, Forevergreen Road and Kansas Avenue. A map of the first and second phase detours is included in this post.

Drivers are asked to use caution around the work site, allow extra travel time, and find alternative routes when possible.
