City Hall Reopened at 360 N Main St.

City Hall has moved from its previous, leased offices into the new, permanent building at 360 N. Main St. at 7 a.m.

The public can accesses the same services at the new location during the same business hours: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Departments located at the building include Administration, Billing and Finance, Building Inspection, Planning, Community Relations and Human Resources.

A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for Tuesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Join Us for an Indoor Snowball Fight and More on Saturday, Feb. 19

The North Liberty Library invites young children and their guardians to the lower level of the Community Center on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 10:30 a.m. for a morning of free fun.

The five Ws

  • Who: All are welcome, but this event is designed with young families in mind.
  • What: A free indoor morning of winter fun, with a hot cocoa bar, a story or two, an indoor snowball fight and more. No registration needed.
  • Where: Gerdin Conference Center (lower level of the North Liberty Community Center)
  • When: Saturday, Feb. 19 at 10:30 a.m.
  • Why: To enjoy a free community event with your household.

Who will be there

  • North Liberty Library with story times, cookie decorating (while supplies last), take-home hot chocolate kits and an indoor snowball fight. A game of The Price is Right is also planned for adult attendees beginning at 11 a.m.
  • Iowa Heartlanders mascot, Dash

What to bring

  • The indoor snowball fight will use new rolled up socks that will be donated to the North Liberty Community Pantry. If you’d like to bring along additional new socks to use for ammo or defense, organizers will add your socks to the donation following the event.
  • A mask. The City of North Liberty requires visitors to wear masks that appropriately covers their nose and mouth while in its public, indoor spaces such as the Community Center.

COVID-19 mitigation

The City of North Liberty requires visitors to wear masks that appropriately covers their nose and mouth while in its public, indoor spaces such as the Community Center, when not actively eating or drinking. This requirement will be in effect while Johnson County sees substantial and high levels of community coronavirus transmission. As always, attendees should stay home if anyone in the household is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have tested positive.
